Spike raced after her, seeing Willow headed straight
to her house. He
was glad she wasn't taking chances like she had the last time she had
run
from him. Thinking about the last time, he knew then that he
had a planned
speech, well a least a little something to say, but this time, he didn't
what to do or say to make things right. He had tried so hard
the time
before, tried to make her understand why he did things and what he
felt, but
it didn't work.
Fumbling his confidence
And wondering why the world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bent for more than arguments
And failed attempts to fly
Willow tripped over something, a branch, stone or
root, it didn't matter
which, what she did know was that she fell and barely missed the yellow
roses in front of her. Not bothering to get up she let her tears
pour down
her cheeks. It wasn't suppose to be like this, she was a good
person, she
hadn't ever done anything wrong (other than the one time she had eaten
a
banana from her lunch before it was time to). What did she do
to deserve
being cheated on twice?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves
Somewhere we live inside
Spike rushed into the park following her trail until
he spotted her on
the ground and rushed to her side, panic in his heart. Grabbing
her, he
pulled her to his chest in a tight embrace. he held onto her
as if his
un-life depended on it, he was just so happy to see her up and okay.
Willow
weakly tried to get away, but soon gave up, taking the chance to cry
into
his shoulder and cling to him.
Dreaming about Providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe we've been living with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken broken
"Why!?" Willow sobbed, her heart breaking all
over again, "Why did you
have to give up? Why did you go back to her!?"
Petting her hair as he held her Spike made soft cooing
sounds in attempt
to calm her down. "I didn't go back to 'er for that, pet.
I went to find a
way to wake you up. I needed you better. She's the one
that kissed me!"
He answered her desperately, praying to the powers that be to let Willow
forgive him, to let her love him again.
That surprised Willow a bit. She had noticed
Spike's absence over the
last week, but had thought something bad had happened to him, and then
seeing him with Dru, she had assumed that he had gone back to her.
"Is that
why you stopped visiting?" She asked his quietly, nibbling on
her bottom
lip, nervous about his response.
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves
Somewhere we live inside
"Yeah luv, I went to New Orleans, I 'as to find Dru
and see if she knew
anything that could 'elp you. I couldn't go on without you Willow."
Looking around Spike realized where they were. In the middle
of the park
(one of the biggest demon feeding grounds in Sunnydale). Picking
her up, he
carried Willow back to her house, his grip protective and possessive.
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life yeah
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves
We were meant to live
We were meant to live
In the shadows of a large weeping Willow tree, Dru
watched Spike and
Willow smiling. yes, she had done a good job. They would
never forget how
much they meant to each other now.
